Lo más hermoso de mi libro es que conocerás al verdadero Michael Jackson. Hice una crónica de mi viaje para mostrarles lo extraordinario que era, no como celebridad o artista, sino como persona normal.

Además, mi objetivo es difundir la positividad entre quienes más lo necesitan. Quiero que los lectores obtengan todo lo que puedan al leer mi libro. Tengo la esperanza de que mi historia inspire a otros, especialmente ahora que estamos en medio de la pandemia. Tuve una buena cantidad de desafíos en el pasado, pero nunca me rendí. Si lo hiciera, nunca habría conocido al Sr. Jackson.

¿Cómo era tu vida antes de Michael?

Era maestra de escuela primaria en una escuela privada antes de irme a Oriente Medio en 2005. Fui a Bahrein a buscar trabajo porque la vida en Filipinas era difícil. Tuve tantos desafíos para encontrar un trabajo antes de conocer al Sr. Jackson.

Cuando lees tanta basura al respecto y sabes que no es así, interviene por ejemplo si un conocido, familiar o amigo dice que Michael Jackson fue tal cosa?

Yo escribí esto en mi libro que he desarrollado un vínculo emocional con la familia, especialmente los niños. Incluso hasta ahora, 12 años después de su muerte, todavía me duele leer, escuchar o ver acusaciones falsas. Nunca perdí el tiempo en creerles, ¿y por qué iba a hacerlo? No se trata de una lealtad ciega hacia mi jefe, pero nunca sentí nada más que amor puro, generosidad y bondad de él.

A los seguidores nos gusta saber lo básico. ¿Qué desayunaba Michael? ¿Michael preparaba muchas veces el desayuno para sus hijos?

La familia tomaba un desayuno "regular" como todos los demás. Cereales, leche y zumos.

¿Qué pedía Michael para comer todos los días?

Cada día era diferente. Había un chef que preparaba comida sana para la familia.

¿Cuál fue la comida favorita de los chicos?

No, no lo hizo.

El Sr. Jackson fue un padre muy práctico para los niños. Les ayudaba con sus tareas, y jugó con ellos después de la escuela. Él personalmente atendió las necesidades de los niños.

¿Tuviste mucho diálogo con él?

Sí, la mayor parte del tiempo hablamos de los niños y la escuela. Era el tipo de persona que te llamaría de inmediato si se necesita hablar de algo.

¿Qué imagen tenías de Michael cuando empezaste a trabajar con él y con qué imagen terminaste? Quiero decir, ¿tenías una imagen de Michael influenciada por los medios?

Aparte de saber que él era el "Rey del Pop", también sabía que era un filántropo conocido por su labor humanitaria. Básicamente, tenía una imagen positiva de él cuando comencé a trabajar. Con el tiempo, llegué a conocerlo más. Fue amable, atento y generoso. Entonces me dije a mí mismo que tenía razón. La imagen que tenía de él antes era correcta. Descubrí lo cariñoso que era como padre con sus hijos, lo agradecido que era como jefe y lo amable que era con todos. Su real manera de ser no la descubriría, si no tuviera la oportunidad de trabajar para él de cerca.

¿Qué te sorprendió más cuando lo conociste?

Me sorprendió lo humilde que era. Era la persona más famosa de la Tierra, pero nunca nos exigió una atención especial . Quería que lo tratáramos como un jefe regular y que le habláramos con naturalidad.

Además, solía darme regalos para agradecerme por enseñar a sus hijos. Fue un dador alegre. Pero como siempre digo, no fueron las cosas materiales. Fue el gesto que me hizo apreciarlo. Otras celebridades ni siquiera se molestarían en hacer tal cosa a sus empleados. Pero el Sr. Jackson era diferente. Él valoró nuestros esfuerzos y se aseguró de hacernos saber que somos apreciados.

¿Seguiste viendo a los niños?

No los he visto desde entonces. Pero me comuniqué con ellos a través de Twitter y correo electrónico hace unos años.

¿Le gustaría volver a ponerse en contacto con ellos?

Absolutamente.

¿Qué se siente haber sido elegido por Michael para educar sus tesoros más preciados?

¿Cómo era el entorno de Michael cuando estabas allí?

Que era un feliz y tranquilo entorno, especialmente cuando estábamos en Irlanda. Pudo vincularse con sus hijos todos los días. Podría decir que estaba realmente en paz .

Cuéntenos acerca de un día de su vida con Michael o dos, uno dentro de la casa y otro saliendo a hacer algo común como ir al cine o de compras.

En Las Vegas, durante los días de semana, normalmente teníamos la escuela como otros niños. Comenzamos nuestras clases a las 8 am en punto. Durante la hora del almuerzo, los niños iban al comedor a almorzar junto con su papá. Un chef solía venir y traer comida saludable para la familia. El Sr. Jackson solía prepararme un plato de comida. El Sr. Jackson sabía que estaba agradecido por todo. Le dije eso durante nuestras conversaciones. Pero si pudiera leer esto desde el cielo, me gustaría decir esto una vez más: "Sr. Jackson, gracias por compartir conmigo una parte de su vida. Me ha aceptado por lo que soy y me ha confiado un papel importante. Nunca me trataste como una extraña sino como una familia, y por eso, estaré eternamente agradecida. What is the most beautiful thing about your book that led you to write it?

The most beautiful thing about my book is that you will get to know the true Michael Jackson. I chronicled my journey to show you how remarkable he was—not as a celebrity or performer, but as a regular person.

Also, I aim to spread positivity to those who need it the most. I want the readers to get anything they can from reading my book. I am hopeful that my story will inspire others, especially now that we are amid the pandemic. I had my fair share of challenges in the past, but I never quit. If I did, I would never have met Mr. Jackson.

How was your life before Michael?

I was a Primary School Teacher in a private school before I left for the Middle East in 2005. I went to Bahrain to look for a job because life in the Philippines was difficult. I had so many challenges finding a job before I met Mr. Jackson.

How is your life today? ’Is she still a teacher?

I am a wife, mother, and a business owner. I am now living my quiet and peaceful life in the beautiful city of Cebu, Philippines.

When you read so much garbage about it and you know that it is not like that, it intervenes for example if an acquaintance, family member or friend says Michael Jackson was such a thing

I wrote this in my book that I have developed an emotional attachment with the family, especially the children. Even until now, 12 years after his death, it still pains me to read, hear, or watch false accusations. I never wasted time in believing them, and why would I? This is not about blind allegiance for my boss--but I never felt anything but pure love, generosity, and kindness from him.

We fans like to know the basics. What did mj you have for breakfast? Did he mj sometimes cook breakfast for his children?

The family had a ‘regular’ breakfast just like anybody else. Cereals, milk and juice.

What did he mj eat every day?

It was different every day. There was a chef who prepared healthy food for the family.

What was the boys' favorite food?

They love popcorn with hot sauce.
 

Michael plays pranks on you?

No, he did not.

What was Michael like inside his house?

Mr. Jackson was a very hands-on father to the children. He prepared breakfast for them, helped them with their homework, and played with them after school. He personally attended to the needs of the children.

Did you have a lot of dialogue with him?

Yes, most of the time we talked about the children and school. He was the type of person who would call you right away if he needed to discuss something.

What image did you have of Michael when you started working with him and what image did you end up with? I mean, did you have a media-influenced image of Michael?

A side from knowing that he was the ‘King of Pop’, I also knew that he was a philanthropist known for his humanitarian work. So basically, I have positive image of him when I started working. Over time, I got to know him more. How kind, thoughtful and generous he was. Then I told myself that I was right. The image I had of him before was correct. I found out how loving he was as a father to his children, how appreciative he was as a boss and how kind he was to everybody. Real characters I wouldn't find out if I did not get the chance to work for him closely.

What surprised you the most when you met him?

I was surprised at how humble he was. He was the most famous person on Earth but, he never demanded special attention from us. He wanted us to treat him like a regular boss and just talk to him naturally.

Also, he used to give me presents to thank me for teaching his children. He was a cheerful giver. But as I always say, it was not the material things. It was the gesture that made me appreciate him. Other celebrities would not even bother to do such thing to their employees. But Mr. Jackson was different. He valued our efforts and, he made sure to let us know that we are appreciated.

Did you keep seeing the children?

I haven’t seen them since then. But I communicated with them via Twitter and Email a few years back.

Would you like to get back in touch with them?

Absolutely.

How does it feel to have been chosen by Michael to educate his most precious treasures?

I’m humbled and grateful for the trust Mr. Jackson gave me.

How did he find out that Michael was no longer with us, what happened to him at that moment in his mind?
 

It was from CNN Breaking News that I learned about Mr. Jackson’s passing. I was already back in the Philippines. Had been back home for several months.
 

I felt my heart shatter. I was in tears. No words can describe how I felt that day.

Then I immediately thought of the children. I could just imagine how they felt at that moment. Mr. Jackson was their best friend, their life. I feel so sorry for them. The pain they have to endure at a very young age. They were still so young and fragile. At that time, I didn’t know how they could accept that their father is physically gone, forever.

Mr. Jackson was their life. He was the only person they loved and trusted all their lives. Their connection and attachment were unbreakable. The family was inseparable. All they had was each other.

What was Michael's environment like when you were there?

It was a happy and tranquil environment especially when we were in Ireland. He was able to bond with his children every single day. I could say that he was genuinely at peace.

Tell us about a day in your life with Michael or two, one inside the home and another going out to do something common like going to the movies or shopping?

In Vegas, during weekdays, we normally have school just like other kids. We started our classes at 8 am sharp. During lunchtime, the children would go to the dining room to have lunch together with their dad. A chef used to come and bring healthy food for the family. Mr. Jackson used to prepare a plate of food for me. He would then ask one of the children to bring it to me in the classroom. Then, we would resume our classes at 1 pm.

The children loved to watch 3D shows at The Luxor. So we went there a couple of times to watch the shows. Mr. Jackson would always disguise himself by wearing a mask and coverings so he will not attract attention. But no matter how careful we were, people would always find us. It was really hard to remain incognito when you are the King of Pop. When people started taking photos and videos, we knew that it was time to exit the place. It was crazy. I felt sorry for them, especially the children. They could not even enjoy a day out because people would bombard and harass them. But given the circumstance, I never heard them complain, even once. They handled the situation really well. Over time, they got used to it.

What was the best thing about this experience?

Getting to know Mr. Jackson on a personal level was the best part of the experience. It was surreal . It was more than I could ask for. An experience I will never ever forget.

Is there something left to say to Michael, if so, would you have liked to say that you did not tell him?

Mr. Jackson knew that I was grateful for everything. I told him that during our conversations. But if he could read this from heaven, I would like to say this once more, "Mr. Jackson, thank you for sharing with me a part of your life. You have accepted me for who I am and entrusted me with an important role. You never treated me as an outsider but as family, and for that, I am forever grateful. I will try my hardest to keep your legacy alive. It is the least I can do to thank you for your kindness and generosity. Till we meet again, Boss."
